Nature of the service

Insuranceopedia's Claims & Appeal Assistant is automated data-analysis and document-preparation software. It reads documents you upload, applies deterministic rules and publicly available reference data, and helps you prepare drafts of letters and packets for your own use. It is a self-help tool, not a professional service performed on your behalf.

Not legal, financial, or public-adjusting advice

Insuranceopedia is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. It is not a licensed public adjuster and does not provide professional claims-adjusting or financial advice. Nothing this software produces is a legal opinion or a professional appraisal. For advice specific to your situation, consult a licensed attorney, public adjuster, or other qualified professional.

No automated submission

This software never contacts your insurer, your state Department of Insurance, or any other party on your behalf, and never sends any document automatically. Every letter or packet it prepares is a draft for you to review; you decide whether, when, and how to send it — from your own email or by mail.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for reviewing every draft for accuracy before sending it, for the accuracy of the information you enter or upload, and for deciding whether to sign and submit any document. You should independently verify your own policy terms, deadlines, and any figures before relying on them.

No promised or predicted outcome

This software does not promise, predict, or ensure any particular result for your claim or appeal — including whether it will be covered, how much may be paid, or how long it will take. Ranges or ballpark figures it shows are educational estimates drawn from public data, not a valuation of your specific claim.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Insuranceopedia and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this software, including decisions made or documents sent based on its output. The software is provided on an "as is" basis, without warranties of any kind.

Documents you upload

Most documents you upload are read to extract information and then discarded — Insuranceopedia does not retain the documents themselves. Documents you upload to the Claim History tool to help build your appeal are stored securely for that purpose; you can delete any of them, or your whole saved case, at any time. If you separately opt in to save a claim, only the specific data points you confirm (plus any Claim History documents) are stored — never the original files from any other upload.
